Guess What! OmniPod has new Software
I am so glad to have my internet back. I moved last week and I had to wait a week for Verizon to set-up Fios. I must say it was worth the wait! The internet service is extremely fast.
I went to visit TuDiabetes and one of the members there posted a discussion about the Omnipod's new software! it user friendly; unlike the PATHFINDER. The only problem I have is that it is only capable with internet explore, not safari! I can get over it as long as the software provides the info I need. Plus, it's better than trying to get the infer red on the pathfinder to match up with the PDM.
Omnipod Partners has a care plan where you can enter the recommended BG levels, meal time slots, basal programs, BG target range, IC Ratio, Correction factor. There is a Insurance tab- you can enter insurance information and a Physician tab. As you can tell, I am very excited.
If anyone as used the software, let me know what you think.
Have a great weekend.

It's that time again, Aunt Dottie's back
Dear Aunt Dottie,
I noticed you decided to visit me today, I was so happy when I saw you. I knew I could defeat you (thanks to my friends at Tudiabetes.com).I am more prepared than ever! I am in control of YOU! I changed my basal dosage to 8.0 from 4-6 am; for some odd reason YOU make my fasting bg's higher than normal. I will not allow you to ruin my bg's for the next 7 days, just because God invited you to visit, doesn't mean I will let you bring the DEVIL out; I was already mean to my Husband because of you. I want you to stop beating my body up and sending me through an emotional roller coaster. I am in control of you. I suggest you fix your attitude or pack your bags and leave...
Love,
Cherise
P.S.
Darn....I forgot I can't check you out! you'll be back next month!

Sugar fingers
I checked my BG's 2 hours after eating a salad and chicken tenders
210!!! Not possible...Ding Dong!!! Can you think of anything I could
have done to cause a high BG??
First thought- maybe I had too much salad dressing, nope ruled out.
Second thought-maybe my Pod site has a clot or blood in the cannula,
nope everything is okay there.
Ding, Ding!! I got it!!!!!!! I cut an apple for Niya and right after
that I checked my BG's and the sugar from the apple caused my BG's to
rise. I checked my BG's again...132!!! I cleared my throat, I never
forget to wash before I test, I promised myself---never forget to
wash my hands before checking my BG's....
Be Blessed

My talk with Wesley...
It's no secret...I've been having problems with the Dawn P. I am not ashamed to say but gosh if I could get my fasting BG's back in order I think I would be good to go. I called Wesley (NP, Endo office), I let him know I can go to bed with my BG being 106 and wake up with it being 120! he said it's not that bad but I would need to keep increasing my basal rate from 4-6 am to .75 and keep increasing until I get my fasting bg's lowered! I'll keep trying and trying!!!I will not let DAWN P. beat me...hahahaha
